Headsets

 

Headsets are becoming increasingly popular for enterprise telephony. Here are our recommendations for third-party headsets, provided by Plantronics®, for use with ShorePhone IP Phones, and conventional analog phones installed on a ShoreTel system.

 

ShorePhone IP 565g

The IP 565g provides a Bluetooth headset option. There are numerous Bluetooth headsets on the market. Customers are advised to make an informed decision when selecting a headset based on the following information:

• Bluetooth 2.0 support for best audio quality
• Support for simultaneous pairing to a mobile phone and the IP 565g if required
• Form factor and design that minimizes the possibility of echo - smaller headsets may not be ideal unless they implement special technology to enhance audio performance.
